K9 is a place for the joy of dogs — not a place for follower counts, comparison, or influencer pressure. These guidelines exist so the community stays warm, honest, and safe. Breaking them can result in content removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban, depending on severity.
Treat other members — and their dogs — the way you'd want to be treated at the dog park. Harassment, threats, hate speech, and impersonation are never allowed. Use your own dog's real photos and information; misrepresenting who you or your dog are undermines the trust the whole community depends on.
Many dog photos include kids in the background, and that's normal. But K9's Explore tab shows content to the whole community, not just people you know, so please be thoughtful: consider cropping or blurring children's faces in posts meant for wide discovery. Content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor in any way is never allowed, will be removed immediately, and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
K9's Marketplace is for toys, gear, and services — never for the sale, trade, or rehoming of live animals. If you're looking to rehome a pet or find one, please use a licensed shelter or rescue organization instead.
Don't post identifying details about another person or their location without their consent, and don't use K9 to locate, follow, or contact someone who has asked to be left alone.
Every profile and post has a Report option, and you can block any member — which prevents them from seeing your profile or posts, or contacting you. K9 reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to review reports and take appropriate action, but assumes no obligation or liability to do so and does not promise any particular response time. We take safety seriously and aim to prioritize the most serious reports, such as those involving a threat to someone's safety or a minor.
Depending on severity, violations may result in content removal, a warning, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from K9. Severe violations — including content involving harm to a minor — result in immediate, permanent removal and may be reported to law enforcement. K9 may take any of these actions in its sole discretion, with or without prior notice, and is not liable for any resulting loss of access, content, profits, or business interruption.
